Instant reactions are useful records of surprise, but they are poor substitutes for attention. A record can reveal its internal logic only after its textures stop feeling new.
For these notes, the first listen maps energy, the second follows arrangement, and a later return asks what remains without novelty. The method is simple enough to resist false certainty.
A review need not be neutral. It should, however, tell the reader where the judgment came from and leave enough detail for another listener to disagree well.
